2008 Softball Canada Field Mechanics Clinic

Schools are held in the Spring each year upon request of the Provincial/Territorial UIC's. This advanced mechanics school is designed for advanced umpire systems including level I through Level IV umpires.

Kitchener, Ontario May 10-11

Fellow Blue,

The Kitchener-Waterloo Umpires Assoc. is pleased to announce the S/C Mechanics Clinic for Ontario is being held in Kitchener Ont. this May 10th & 11th @ Budd Park.

Cost of the clinic is $135.00 and application should be sent to the Softball Ontario office, attn: Stephanie Sutton.

This clinic is fortunate to have Mr. Mark Gough as lead instructor. Mark is part of the Softball Canada ODC, as well as Mr. Doug Cundall, also of the ODC, and Mr. Len Georgie who has been chosen for his vast experience in Slow Pitch mechanics.

Up to date mechanics will be covered in both fast pitch as well as slow-pitch, as well as rule interpretations-- with on-field as well as classroom involvement.

This clinic will count as part of the umpires everyother year mandatory attendance at a refresher/Blue convention/ITC participation to keep current with Softball Ontario's mandate for current ability to attend Canadian championship status.

As a participant, you will be asked to apply as soon as possible, as participation is limited to no more than 50 students.

Out of town participants are asked to contact Tim Whitelaw from the KWUA @ happyump@hotmail.com for accomodation availabilty.

Please pass this on to all umpires from your areas who may be able to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. The program needs all of our support for this venue to succeed!

Yours in umpiring
